Tanzania Safari Tour Itinerary.

Day 1 : Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the evening. Warm welcome by your driver who will offer you a carved wooden Masai. Transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge , which combines calm and comfort, situated near a waterfall. Arusha is definitely more than just a safari town; it has superb views of Kilimanjaro and with a number of coffee plantations situated around the edge of town, it is a great place to stay for a day or two before heading out on safari. Arusha National Park is also a great distraction for a full or half day game drive. The main feature of the park is Mount Meru, which is much more of a technical climb than Kilimanjaro, and a great challenge for more experienced climbers.

Day 2 : Arusha / Tarangire

Breakfast, then drive to Tarangire. Tarangire Park with an area of ??2850 km² is named after the river of the same name. Its landscape of hills planted with bushes, baobabs and acacias or “sausage tree”, attracts an important fauna. One can easily observe elephants, gazelles, buffalo, impala, eland, cheetahs, lions and oryx. Installation and lunch at Tarangire Treetops Lodge, an exceptional lodge with rooms arranged vertically, hung from trees. Comfort is not so far set aside. Enjoy more of the charm of sleeping in a “cabin” of luxury, amazing views of the reserve. Continued safari. In the dry season the show hordes of wildebeest, elephants and zebras migrants to the Tarangire River is awesome! Enjoy the low tourist attendance of the park.

Day 3 : Tarangire / Lake Manyara

Breakfast and morning game. Then take the road to Lake Manyara, located at the north of the country. The famous writer Ernest Hemingway considered him the best in Africa. Located at an altitude of about 1000m and an area of 330 km2. He alone holds 70% of the park. Surrounded by a varied landscape: wooded savannah in the east, dry forest in the southwest and dense rainforest northwest, it has an important biodiversity. Birds are everywhere in the lake. The most common are pelicans and flamingos, arriving by thousands, covering most part of the water with a pink-orange color , offering a fabulous show. Check-in at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, beautiful lodge, the only one located inside the park. Enjoy a wonderful night in your perched comfort suite, offering unforgettable views of the forest.

Day 4 : Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro

Breakfast. Departure to Ngorongoro Park. Descent to the heart of the crater .In fact, the park is a crater more than 20 km in diameter, with relatively steep sides. The wildlife animal concentration is the largest at this part of the world and most species of African wildlife are represented: large herds and their predators (lions, cheetahs, hyenas), but also large mammals (elephants, rhinos, hippos). Lunch at the heart of the crater and continue with safari until dusk. The Ngorongoro crater has been classified by UNESCO as one of the eight wonders of the world. With a maximum depth of 610 m, it is the largest caldera on earth not flooded. The landscape of this huge crater populated by the largest animals on the planet is a breathtaking beauty.

Day 5 : Ngorongoro

Breakfast and free day where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Ngorongoro populated of the largest animals on the planet and a breathtaking beauty. Lunch at the lodge. Free afternoon at the lodge to enjoy the swimming pool take park in a walking safari within the vicinity of the park with an armed ranger (at extra cost).

Day 6 : Ngorongoro / Serengeti

Breakfast, then drive to the Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is the largest in Tanzania and is part of the largest preserved ecosystems on the planet. It has an annual show of strength breathtaking: the phenomenon of the great migration. in Maasai his name means “endless plains” particularly representative expression of this landscape. wildebeests hordes, gazelles, antelopes, zebras, elephants, lions inhabit its vast plains. Day 7 : Serengeti

Morning game that will allow you to discover the awakening of the animals in the park. A unique and unforgettable safari experience. Then back for a breakfast.
Optionally, you have the ability to perform hot-air ballooning in Serengeti ( extra 450 € / pers.) . At dawn, you will participate in the inflation of the balloon. Then off for about 1:30 where the extraordinary landscapes of the African savannah will surprise you. Then breakfast in the bush, with champagne while you receive your balloon safari participation certificate. Lunch at the camp and continue your safari until dusk. Enjoy an aperitif with nibbles in the heart of the reserve to watch the beautiful sunset.

Day 8 : Serengeti / Arusha / Zanzibar

Breakfast. Flight takeoff to Arusha and then to Zanzibar . Arrive in Zanzibar and transfer to the hotel Meliã *****, splendid luxury hotel, next to a sublime sandy beach. The hotel offers a private pool for each villa and luxury services during the entire stay. A luxury you can afford.

Day 9 : Zanzibar

Breakfast and lunch at the hotel (according to your package meal plan). Free day at the hotel. You will enjoy during your stay to explore the “spice island” in inescapable charm. Strolling through the streets of Stone Town, Spice Market tour, discovery of the cave to the slaves, island tour Changuu (Prison Island), diving in the clear waters and swimming with dolphins , a wide choice of excursions will be offered. Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning and in the afternoon transfer to Zanzibar airport for your international flight. Overnight in flight.
