16 Days 15 Nights Bongo Classic Safari

Day 1 : Out-bound International Flight / Overnight Flight

Departure from local international airport. Overnight on-board.

Day 2 : Arusha / Tarangire

Arrive Kilimanjaro in the morning. Warm welcome by your driver / guide who will give you a carved Masai statuette. Then drive to Tarangire. Tarangire Park with an area of 2600 km² is named after the river of the same name. Its landscape of hills planted with bushes, baobabs and acacias or “sausage tree”, attracts an important fauna. We can easily observe elephants, gazelles, buffalo, impala, eland, cheetahs, lions and oryx. Installation and lunch at your camp. Safari until nightfall. Admire the beauty of this reserve with wildlife and vibrant flora, and you might see herds of elephants, zebras, and other wild animals on your way.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Burunge Tented Camp  or Maramboi Tented Camp.

Day 3 : Tarangire / Manyara

Breakfast and morning game drive to discover the richness of the park. Then you take the road to Lake Manyara , located in northern Tanzania. The famous writer Ernest Hemingway considered him the best in Africa . Located at an altitude of about 1000m and an area of 230 km2, it alone occupies 70% of the park. Lunch in the park and in the afternoon continuation of the safari. Surrounded by a varied landscape: wooded savannah in the east, dry forest in the southwest and dense rainforest northwest, it has an important biodiversity. Birds are everywhere. The most common are pelicans and flamingos, arriving by thousands, covered with a pink-orange color most of the water, offering a fabulous show. You also will observe many hippos. Overnight in camp.

Day 4 : Manyara / Lake Natron

Breakfast and morning departure to Lake Natron . This lake lists special wildlife that is perfectly suited to this particularly salt lake and you will probably observe without difficulty. You will be able to find a multitude of birds, including lesser flamingos. Installation and lunch at Lake Natron Camp. Safari continuation of the afternoon until late evening to observe the original biodiversity of Lake Natron and the famous geysers region.

Day 5 : Lake Natron

Breakfast. Walk around the lake where you will enjoy the geysers, wildlife and flora. Then, departure to Lake Natron, located in the Rift Valley, where you can see an original wildlife is concentrated around the lake . It is a privileged place for the reproduction of flamingos, so you can maybe see them around the lake. Lunch at the camp. Continuation safari, then return to camp after dark.

Day 6 : Lake Natron / Eyasi

Breakfast, then drive to Lake Eyasi . Installation and lunch at the camp. Discovery of this lake located in northern Tanzania, to the southwest of the massive Ngorongoro. Very shallow lake is home to a rich fauna including many pelicans, storks, antelopes and hippos. Meeting Hazda, first known inhabitants of Tanzania. Their presence on the shores of Lake Eyasi goes back almost forty thousand years. They live without rules or calendar, they have no crops or livestock, or permanent shelters. You can go to meet other traditional tribes like the Masai. Back to camp late afternoon.

Day 7 : Lake Eyasi / Karatu

Breakfast. Then departure to discover coffee plantations. Visit a local farm. You will discover the coffee production process. Installation and lunch at the lodge. Afternoon dedicated to visit the village of Karatu where you can meet the locals. Return to your lodge.

Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea  or Tloma Lodge.

Day 8 : Karatu / Ngorongoro

Breakfast. Departure to the Ngorongoro Park. Down the middle of the crater more than 20 km in diameter, with relatively steep sides. Wild animal life in concentration is the largest in the world and most species of African fauna is represented: large herds and their predators (lions, cheetahs, hyenas), but also large mammals (elephants, rhinos, hippos) . Lunch in the heart of the crater and continuation of safari in the afternoon. The Ngorongoro crater has been classified by UNESCO as one of the eight wonders of the world. With a maximum depth of 610m, it is the largest caldera on earth not flooded. The landscape of this huge crater populated of the largest animals on the planet is a breathtaking beauty. Return to the lodge at dusk.

Day 9 : Karatu / Serengeti

Breakfast, then drive to the Serengeti. With an area of ??15,000 km² Serengeti park is the largest of Tanzania and is part of the largest preserved ecosystems on the planet. It offers an annual show of strength breathtaking: the phenomenon of the great migration. Masai in his name means “endless plains” phrase particularly representative of this immense landscape plains and hills and this impression of immensity experienced. Installation and lunch at the lodge or camp. Departure in the afternoon for a safari until late afternoon in the Serengeti Park where you can watch the animals drink from the lakes and rivers of the reserve. Return to the lodge or camp.

Day 10 : Serengeti

Up at dawn where we will serve you coffee, chocolate or tea with cookies before leaving for an early morning game that will allow you to discover the awakening of the Serengeti . A unique and unforgettable. Then back for a well deserved breakfast. At the heart of the park, the landscape is green: acacias and “sausage tree” overlooking river where animals come to drink. Lunch at the lodge or camp or lunch in the bush in the park and safari continued until nightfall.

Day 11 : Serengeti / Arusha / Zanzibar

Breakfast. morning game then flight at the Serengeti airfield to the Arusha airport. Lunch in Arusha. Takeoff for Zanzibar. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Discover the unique atmosphere of the capital of Zanzibar. Installation in the evening at your hotel.

Dinner and overnight at Uroa Bay Beach Resort  or Fumba Beach Lodge.

Day 12 : Zanzibar

Breakfast and lunch at the hotel (according to your package meal plan). Free day at the hotel. You will enjoy during your stay to explore the “spice island” in inescapable charm. Strolling through the streets of Stone Town, Spice Market tour, discovery of the cave to the slaves, island tour Changuu (Prison Island), diving in the clear waters and swimming with dolphins , a wide choice of excursions will be offered. Among the must, not to be missed: The Spice Route, which takes you through the wonders of the island and clove plantations, cocoa plantations, banana … tastings that punctuate your day full of scents and flavors.

Breakfast and free morning at the hotel. Free afternoon where you can relax on white sandy beaches. Transfer to Zanzibar airport in the late afternoon for your international flight. Overnight in flight.

Day 16 : Destination

Arrival in your destination.
