The tents are all spacious, with king or twin beds and elegant en suite bathrooms. There are a main lounge, bar and dining area, all built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro.

With outstanding views of Mt Kilimanjaro, enjoyed from the comfort of your own private family verandah, Tortilis Camp’s new Family Tent is another great addition to this child-friendly safari camp in Amboseli.

The Family Tent consists of two en suite bedrooms (one double & one twin) and a spacious private verandah.

Game Drives

The Tortilis Camp guides are based at a camp in Amboseli and know their backyard intimately. More than half of the guides at Tortilis are Masai, and have between them 80 years of guiding at Tortilis!

Tortilis Camp’s walking guides are Masai from the local community, who have been walking over these plains since childhood.

The pool bar serves snacks and drinks between meal times. The pool waiters will be pleased to assist you, and the duty barman can make you a special fruit punch while you soak up the sun.

Tawi Lodge is located on a private conservancy of 6,000 acres just five minutes from Kimana Gate, the eastern entrance to Amboseli National Park. The Lodge has of 13 cottages located on bushland with a wooden-deck veranda facing Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa

Each cottage at this Lodge has its own wooden-deck veranda and a fabulous view of the highest mountain in Africa, even from the comfort of your bed or your bathtub.
