8 Days 7 Nights Fisi Safari

Tanzania and Zanzibar safari tour itinerary.

Day 1 : Kilimanjaro / Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the evening. Warm welcome by your driver who will offer you a carved wooden Masai . Transfer to your hotel. Arusha is definitely more than just a safari town; it has superb views of Kilimanjaro and with a number of coffee plantations situated around the edge of town, it is a great place to stay for a day or two before heading out on safari. Arusha National Park is also a great distraction for a full or half day game drive. The main feature of the park is Mount Meru, which is much more of a technical climb than Kilimanjaro, and a great challenge for more experienced climbers.

Overnight at Olasiti Safari Lodge or Arusha Palace Hotel.

Day 2 : Arusha / Tarangire

Breakfast, then drive to Tarangire. Tarangire Park with an area of ??2850 km² is named after the river of the same name. Its landscape of hills planted with bushes, baobabs and acacias or “sausage tree”, attracts an important fauna. One can easily observe elephants, gazelles, buffalo, impala, eland, cheetahs, lions and oryx. Installation and lunch at Tarangire Treetops Lodge, an exceptional lodge with rooms arranged vertically, hung from trees. Comfort is not so far set aside. Enjoy more of the charm of sleeping in a “cabin” of luxury, amazing views of the reserve. Continued safari. In the dry season the show hordes of wildebeest, elephants and zebras migrants to the Tarangire River is awesome! Enjoy the low tourist attendance of the park.

Dinner and overnight at Burunge Tented Camp  + or Saingwe Tented Camp .

Day 3 : Tarangire / Lake Manyara

Breakfast. Then walking safari with Masai rangers for about 1 h 30, a magical moment . Then take the road to Lake Manyara, located at the north of the country. The famous writer Ernest Hemingway considered him the best in Africa. Located at an altitude of about 1000m and an area of 330 km2. He alone holds 70% of the park. Surrounded by a varied landscape: wooded savannah in the east, dry forest in the southwest and dense rainforest northwest, it has an important biodiversity. Birds are everywhere in the lake. The most common are pelicans and flamingos, arriving by thousands, covering most part of the water with a pink-orange color offering a fabulous show.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Wildlife Camp or Kirurumu Tented Camp .

Day 4 : Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro / Karatu

Breakfast. Departure to The Ngorongoro National Park. Optional: Before staying in this beautiful crater, you can make a hike on the ridges of the crater, of course escorted by experienced rangers. The park is a crater of more than 20 km in diameter with relatively steep sides. Wildlife animal concentration is the largest in the world and most species of African fauna is represented: large herds and their predators (lions, cheetahs, hyenas), but also large mammals (elephants, rhinos, hippos) . Descent and picnic lunch in the crater. Continue with safari in the afternoon. Ngorongoro Crater has been classified by UNESCO as one of the eight wonders of the world. With a maximum depth of 610 m, it is the largest caldera on earth not flooded. The landscape of this huge crater populated by the largest animals on the planet is a breathtaking beauty.

Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea  or Tloma Mountain Lodge .

Day 5 : Ngorongoro / Arusha / Zanzibar

Breakfast at the camp and drive to the lands of adventure to discover a MASAI town of Mto Wa Mbu which remained authentic. You will be warmly welcomed and you will have the opportunity to live and understand the daily life of these people. After this unique discovery, you will visit the “Children Concern Foundation” school. This school welcomes underprivileged children and orphans. Through this foundation, they can have a decent, balanced and receive an education. Use this time to offer your gifts. Then drive to ARUSHA and stop at Shanga Shanga handcraft workshop for small purchases. Then drive to the Arusha airport. Takeoff for Zanzibar. Arrive in Zanzibar and transfer to the hotel Uroa Bay  + or Fumba Beach LODGE .

Dinner and overnight at The Uroa Bay Lodge or Fumba Beach .

Day 6 : Zanzibar

Breakfast and lunch at the hotel (according to your package meal plan). Free day at the hotel. You will enjoy during your stay to explore the “spice island” in inescapable charm. Strolling through the streets of Stone Town, Spice Market tour, discovery of the cave to the slaves, island tour Changuu (Prison Island), diving in the clear waters and swimming with dolphins , a wide choice of excursions will be offered. Among the must, not to be missed: The Spice Route, which takes you through the wonders of the island and clove plantations, cocoa plantations, banana tastings that punctuate your day full of scents and flavors.

Dinner and overnight at The Uroa Bay Lodge or Fumba Beach .

Day 7 : Zanzibar

Breakfast and lunch at the hotel (according to your package meal plan). Free day at the hotel. You will enjoy during your stay to explore the “spice island” in inescapable charm. Strolling through the streets of Stone Town, Spice Market tour, discovery of the cave to the slaves, island tour Changuu (Prison Island), diving in the clear waters and swimming with dolphins , a wide choice of excursions will be offered. Day 8 : Departure

Breakfast and free morning at the hotel. Then transfer in the afternoon to the airport for your flight.
